Dogma DES Free De-Esser Plugin Released by Isaac Audio
Isaac Audio has launched Dogma DES, an ultra-transparent Dogma DES free de-esser plugin built to manage harsh vocal resonance without compromising audio integrity. Currently offered in open beta, users can download the installer directly without any account registration or iLok authorization.
Bit-Exact Processing and Sibilance Control
Traditional de-essers often apply static phase shifts or broadband gain reduction that can smear vocal details even when sibilance is absent. Dogma DES addresses this issue by keeping audio between sibilants completely bit-exact. The plugin isolates problematic harshness dynamically and only injects back the calculated difference, preventing any unwanted coloration across unaffected phrases.
Key features include:
- Bit-exact dry path preservation between sibilant events
- Relative detection mode alongside standard absolute thresholding
- Low-latency monitoring suited for tracking and vocal mixing
- Clean visual feedback indicating exact gain attenuation frequencies
- Lightweight CPU footprint compatible with high track counts
The relative mode is particularly effective for dynamic vocalists whose distance from the microphone varies. Instead of aggressively triggering on loud consonant bursts while missing quiet ones, Dogma DES tracks incoming volume changes to attenuate sibilants evenly.
Formats and System Compatibility
Dogma DES is provided in VST3, AU, AAX, and CLAP formats for 64-bit systems on Windows and macOS. It integrates seamlessly into modern DAWs including Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, and Reaper.
You can download the beta build of Dogma DES directly from Isaac Audio.
